  • Ingredients:

    • Chicken: 500 grams (boneless, cut into cubes)
    • Yogurt (Dahi): 1/2 cup
    • Ginger-Garlic Paste: 1 tablespoon
    • Red Chili Powder: 1 teaspoon
    • Turmeric Powder: 1/2 teaspoon
    • Garam Masala Powder: 1 teaspoon
    • Cumin Powder: 1/2 teaspoon
    • Coriander Powder: 1 teaspoon
    • Salt: to taste
    • Butter: 2 tablespoons
    • Oil: 1 tablespoon
    • Onions: 2 medium-sized (finely chopped)
    • Tomato Puree: 1 cup
    • Fresh Cream: 1/2 cup
    • Kasuri Methi (Dried Fenugreek Leaves): 1 teaspoon
    • Sugar: 1 teaspoon
    • Green Chilies: 2 (slit)
    • Coriander Leaves: for garnishing

    Instructions:

    1. Marinate the Chicken:

      • In a bowl, mix yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, and salt.
      • Add the chicken pieces and marinate for at least 30 minutes (preferably 2 hours).
    2. Cook the Chicken:

      • Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan.
      • Add the marinated chicken and cook until the chicken is cooked through and slightly charred. Remove from heat and set aside.
    3. Prepare the Gravy:

      • In the same pan, add butter and heat it.
      • Add finely chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
      • Add the tomato puree and cook for about 10 minutes on medium heat until the oil starts separating.
      • Add garam masala powder, salt, sugar, and kasuri methi. Mix well.
      • Add fresh cream and stir.
    4. Combine Chicken with Gravy:

      • Add the cooked chicken to the gravy and mix well.
      • Let it simmer for another 10 minutes on low heat.
      • Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and slit green chilies.
    5. Serve:

      • Serve hot with naan, roti, or steamed rice.
