                             Indian-Style Fish Fry Recipe

Ingredients:

  • Fish Fillets: 500 grams (preferably King Fish, Pomfret, or any firm fish)
  • Lemon Juice: 2 tablespoons
  • Turmeric Powder: 1/2 teaspoon
  • Red Chili Powder: 1 teaspoon
  • Ginger-Garlic Paste: 1 tablespoon
  • Coriander Powder: 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin Powder: 1/2 teaspoon
  • Garam Masala Powder: 1/2 teaspoon
  • Rice Flour: 2 tablespoons
  • Besan (Gram Flour): 2 tablespoons
  • Salt: to taste
  • Oil: for shallow frying
  • Fresh Coriander Leaves: for garnishing
  • Lemon Wedges: for serving

Instructions:

  1. Marinate the Fish:

    • Clean and pat dry the fish fillets.
    • In a bowl, mix lemon juice, turmeric powder, red chili powder, ginger-garlic paste, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala powder, and salt.
    • Rub this marinade onto the fish fillets and let them marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Prepare the Coating:

    • Mix rice flour and besan in a plate.
    • Lightly coat the marinated fish fillets with this mixture on both sides.
  3. Fry the Fish:

    • Heat oil in a pan for shallow frying.
    • Place the coated fish fillets in the hot oil and fry on medium heat until they are golden brown and crispy on both sides.
    • Remove from oil and place on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
  4. Serve:

    • Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and lemon wedges.
    • Serve hot with chutney or as a side dish with rice.
